Chatbots still have a long way to go through new approaches. One of the factors that are currently limiting the development of the chatbots market is the lack of an appealing customer experience. The low quality of the existing natural language understanding systems negatively impacts user experience.
At BITEXT, we have developed an NLP-based solution that trains conversational bots easily, and makes their replies more human-like. Using our deep linguistic analysis platform and Natural Language Generation (NLG), we improve bot accuracy 3X. This allows existing chatbot frameworks to deal with user requests without redesigning their architectures, as we are fully compatible.
By using the BITEXT deep linguistics analysis platform and Natural Language Generation system , we can: i) simplify complex input and extract intents, and ii) automate the creation of a training corpus with all the complex variations of an intent. Either solution assures an accurate output on any Chatbot development platform.
NLP Services for Bots
The overall goal of the Phase 2 project is to accelerate bot training and improve human-machine understanding, being the most accurate technology in this new era of people and machines communication. We also intend to raise chatbots to their full potential, facilitating their development and growth; by being a reliable technology, easy to develop (minimal manual work) and embeddable into existing solutions.
Verticals to be addressed:
- Home Automation: Home access, curtains, light, alarms… Virtual Assistants will help to manage household appliances. The European population is becoming older and therefore home automation can help it gain independence. Virtual Assistants to interact with new technologies will be indispensable.
- E-commerce (order management): The Internet has completely changed the shopping habits of consumers. Developing a Chatbot that works 24/7 to provide effective and personalized information to users seems a push to overcome some barriers or fears that stops users from adopting e-commerce.
- Media: Chatbots that help readers to get the news in a conversational way, the easiest way to stay on top of important topics and stories. Together with Chatfuel and TechCrunch teams, Bitext has developed a new improved version of TechCrunch bot, awarded with Best New Bots prize by VentureBeat. Bitext integrated its NLP Middleware into the current bot architecture (ChatFuel + DialogFlow + SwifType). This enhanced version adds functionality for conversational interaction and natural language understanding including double intents and negation.
These verticals will lay onto 9 languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Swedish and Dutch) covering the languages of 85% of the EU population.
